ensure 和  assure 有什麼不同? 該如何使用呢?

如果查字典, ensure 和 assure 二個都是確保的意思

但使用上常讓同學們搞不清楚, 同學可以這樣記

assure 會和 make promise (向某人保證事情會...) 有關, 來讓人不要擔心

如: 

I can assure you that the weather will be good tomorrow.

我可以跟你保證明天天氣會很好。

She assure me of the safety of this car.

她跟我保證這個車子的安全性。

He assures me that he will be at the party.

他保證他會出現在派對。

而 ensure 則是可以用 make sure 來代替。 意思為保證事情會...有著guarantee (保證) 的概念在裡面

My boss wants me to check the car again to ensure that it won't break down on the high way.

我老板要我再檢查車子一次來確保它在高速公路不會壞掉。

She can't ensure that he will be there on time. 

她不能保證他會準時到那裡．
