昨天改同學的作文, 同學寫到:
We shouldn’t think like that any more. 我們不該再那樣想。
到底應該是 any more 還是 anymore 呢?
在這個句子 We shouldn’t think like that any more.
正確的用法應該是 We shouldn’t think like that anymore.
今天我們就來學學 any more 及 anymore 有什麼不同。
- any more 的 more 在這裡為形容詞 many/much 的比較級
I am too full. I can’t drink any more beer.
我太飽了，我無法再喝啤酒了。
more 在此處為 much 的比較級（因為beer 為不可數名詞)
我們再看另一個例子。
Feeling sad, she is not able to say any more (words).
她因為傷心而無法再說更多。
2. anymore 則為時間副詞，和其他的時間副詞 (yesterday, tomorrow, last week) 一樣，通常放句尾。意思表示[再也不...] ，因此會和 not 一起用。
He doesn’t love me anymore.
他再也不愛我了。
Jerry is not an innocent boy anymore.
Jerry 再也不是個天真的男孩了。
所以應該要如何來分辨應該寫 any more 或 anymore呢?
最容易的方式即是判斷後面是否加 [名詞]
如果可加名詞, 那就是用 any more
