在台北或高雄, 搭乘大眾運輸是每天都會做的事

今天, 我們就來學學一些搭乘大眾運輸會用到的單字句型

1. mass transportation/mass transit [大眾運輸]

a. public transit/public transportation 也很常用到, 其意思和mass transportation 是一樣的

mass 的意思為[大量], 指的是大量運輸人群的交通工具

public 的意思為[大眾]

e.g. Mass transportation like buses and MRT is a convenient system in Taipei and Kaohsiung.

(公車或捷運在台北及高雄是很方便的大眾運輸系統)

2. book tickets [買票/訂票]

3. return ticket [回程車票]/one-way ticket [單程車票]

A: I need to book two bus tickets to Kaohsiung on June 10th.

(我要訂六月十號去高雄二張巴士票)

B: Sure! Would you like to book return tickets?

(好的, 你要來回票嗎?)

A: No, one-way (ticket), please.

(不用, 單乘就可以了)

4. leave v. 離開/發車

5. delayed a. 延遲的

e.g. My train should leave at 8:10, but it is delayed for 20 minutes. I think I will be late.

(我的火車應該要在8:10 就要離站的; 但它延遲了20分鐘; 我覺得我會遲到)

6. to top up [儲值]

這個字可以用在悠遊卡或手機易付卡儲值

e.g. Could you wait for a second? I need to top up my Easy Card.

(你可以等我一下嗎? 我需要儲值一下我的悠遊卡)

7. out of credit a. [儲值餘額為零]

e.g. Oh, no! My mobile phone is out of credit. Do you know where I can buy a top-up card?

(喔! 不! 我的手機沒餘額了, 你知道哪裡可以買到易付卡嗎?)

8. to touch in/out [刷卡進出]

touch in 或 touch out 指的是我們搭大眾運輸時會需要用卡刷卡

e.g. When you travel by the MRT in Taipei, you can use an Easy card; just touch in at the gate and you can enter the station.

(當你在台北搭捷運, 你可以使用悠遊卡; 只要在閘門處刷一下卡, 你就可以進站)

e.g. A: How can I get into the station? (我要如何進站?)

B: Use the card in your hand. Touch it in! (用你手中的卡, 刷卡進入)
